ACC prepares student for their next step with Career Ready Week

Prepare for a promising internship or career opportunity during Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Career Ready Week, taking place from October 30 to November 3. ACC’s Career Services team guides students through this week-long series of events and information sessions to help you achieve your goals.

Students can connect with industry experts and local employers at all ACC campuses throughout the week. The event includes job fairs, resume writing workshops, interview preparation sessions, and various career prep resources. 

Highlighted Events:

Career Kick-Start | Monday, October 30 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | ACC Highland Campus, Building 4000

Stop by the Career & Transfer Center at ACC Highland Campus to update your resume, learn about job and internship opportunities, or meet with career coaches. 

Don’t Get Played! Hot Jobs v. Scams | Tuesday, October 31 |  6 p.m. | Virtual 

If it seems too good to be true, it might just be. This session helps students identify real positions versus a scam. 

Live Action Role Play! Mock Interviews with Dell Technologies | Wednesday, November 1 | 3 p.m. |  Highland Campus

Work the jitters out for your interview during this session. Dell Technology reps will help students with interview skills and networking. 

When It’s Not All Fun and Games: Managing Career Anxiety | Thursday, November 2 | Noon | Virtual 

Taking that next step can be intimidating. Experts will be available to answer questions and support students with career anxiety.

 Game Day Prep | Friday, November 2 | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Elgin Campus, Building 1000
